The Okaba inauguration of Igbadiwei that took place in Warri, Delta State, was for Gbaramatu INC and not for the INC of the Izon nation. What happened in Warri is a shameful display of both national and international embarrassment for the Ijaw nation.

Tompolo should understand that the Ijaw nation is not for sale, and there are certain lines that should never be crossed, but he has crossed them, by bringing total disgrace to our people.

The IYC has been split into two factions, and we have not yet resolved it. The very body that once earned respect for the Izon nation has now been ridiculed by Tompolo, because Professor Okaba and other Izon elders chose personal greed for Gbaramatu dollars over the integrity of the Izon nation.

Tompolo went to the government house in Bayelsa State and begged the governor to allow Igbadiwei, as INC president, to be inaugurated. The governor clearly told him that there were unresolved issues on the ground and that he should allow CITRE and others to address these problems first, so that the Izon nation could speak with one voice.

But Tompolo, in his usual quest for power and his desire to turn the Izon nation into his personal enterprise, dared both the governor and Izon nation in general. He went ahead with the illegal inauguration in Warri, instead of Bayelsa State IZON HOUSE, the true home of Izon nation.

Tompolo thinks that by hijacking the INC and creating a faction out of it, he can save himself from the crimes he has committed against the Izon people. The Izon nation should know that Tompolo is still holding Balamene Karowei and Charles Korubo in his private prison to this day. He has also been involved in the kidnapping and killings of Izon people for his own personal gain.

The so called Igbadiwei, the Gbaramatu INC president, is a puppet in the hands of Tompolo and a drunkard who supervised the torture and imprisonment of his own brother, Balamene Karowei, while keeping silent as if nothing happened. Tompolo’s plan is to use the useless Igbadiwei as Gbaramatu INC president as a bribe to silence him forever and make him cover up for his crimes.

Tompolo should know that no amount of image laundry can clear his name from the evil he has committed against Ijaw people. If he wants, he can buy privates to bribe certain individuals and silence some izon people, but he will pay for his crimes sooner.

The CITRE should go ahead and do what is right by appointing a caretaker committee to manage the INC, as there should be no vacuum in its leadership. They should then conduct a proper INC election to give us a president who will lead the Izon nation to the next level.
